Acting Lessons

Acting Lessons

You’d Be Surprised 5/5

Spoiler Free

I played Acting Lessons after playing Being a Dik Season 1 and Season 2. I bought all of the games around the same time, and thought Acting Lessons was DLC for Being a Dik, I had no idea it was it’s own game. Even though it is the oldest of those 3 games out right now, I actually enjoyed it more than either Season 1 or Season 2 of Being a Dik. Acting Lessons just has a more interesting story, and way more twists and turns, some of which are pretty dark. I don’t see myself doing another playthrough of Being a Dik Season 1 or Season 2 any time soon, but I could see a second playthrough of Acting Lessons in the near future.

Pros:

-A more interesting story than Being a Dik S1 and S2, lots of twists and turns.

-Everything is wrapped up in one game, no extra seasons to purchase.

-Multiple playthroughs are possible and would feel rewarding.

Cons:

-The graphics and animations aren’t as perfected as they are in Being a Dik. Acting Lessons Remaster when? lol

-And of course, as always……the Steam rental store gets achievements, while us DRM free bros get nada.

GOG’s reviews section currently doesn’t know how to process the Greater Than Symbol, as well as many other symbols, so for my Tier List I will just use commas.

Top 3 Joysticks Of All Time

TOP 3 BEST JOYSTICKS OF ALL TIME

1. XBOX ONE

Pros:

-Feels perfect for modern gaming.

-Left analog stick respects the left thumb and is asymmetrical.

-Bumpers are built for demolishing skill checks in DbD.

-EZ AA rechargeable battery swapping once a week with heavy use.

-Plug and play with any PC.

Cons:

-Made out of sawdust and will break after 1-2 years of regular use.

2. PLAYSTATION 3

Pros:

-D-pad and face buttons are perfect for 2D platformers and 2D fighting games.

-Built for Japanese school girl hands, sturdy enough for German catchers mitts.

-Has some makeshift analog sticks tacked on if it’s all you have for modern gaming.

-Long lasting.

Cons:

-Symmetrical analog sticks were a mistake.

-Triggers are slippery doo doo and require trigger extender add ons.

-Internal battery won’t be a fast swap.

3. SEGA GENESIS (3 BUTTON)

Pros:

-Maximum nostalgia feels.

-Huge comfy fit with huge comfy face buttons.

-Will outlast the human race.

Cons:

-It sucks peckers for use with fighting games, a 6 button controller is required to have fun.

HONORABLE MENTIONS:

*NINTENDO 64

Pros:

-Literally built for sex.

-Great for WCW/nWo Revenge.

Cons:

-It is a bad controller.

*MAD CATZ STREET FIGHTER X TEKKEN - ARCADE FIGHTSTICK PRO

Pros:

-Arcade experience at home.

-Great for beat em’ ups.

-Can replace the buttons and swap out the ball top with a bat top for maximum edge lord status.

Cons:

-Fighting games are still better with a joystick, the arcade stick being an advantage is a meme.

-Very pricey, $120 on the low end for some plastic.

*GAMECUBE

Pros:

-The A button is hella fun to press.

Cons:

-It is a bad controller.

Alien Rampage

Fun Factor:
Medium fun, medium difficulty, would recommend if it’s on sale.

Graphics:

The character sprites, levels, and gore are all pretty sick looking and one of the game’s biggest selling points in my opinion. I would recommend turning up the gamma levels in the options menu to make the colors pop a bit more, the game will still look “dark and gritty” so don’t worry.

Music:

There is no music lmao, and to quote every single video game reviewer in modern times “AND THAT’S A GOOD THING!” seriously though, I just opened up some heavy metal instrumental only music in the background and it worked out perfectly.

Controls:

A bit old school feeling, but nothing to complain about.

Some guy was talking about not being able to get his XBOX 360 controller to work, literally just hit Ctrl+F1 to bring up the DOSBox menu to map the keyboard buttons to your XBOX 360 controller or any controller.

Or better yet use JoyToKey, here’s my set up, adjust accordingly.

POV Up: Up Arrow

POV Right: Right Arrow

POV Down: Down Arrow

POV Left: Left Arrow

Button 1: R-Ctrl - Jump

Button 2: Tab - Weapons Cycle

Button 3: R-Alt - Shoot

Button 7: Escape - Back

Button 8: Space - Pause

Button 12: Y - Yes To Quit

Being A ∆IK - Season 2

The Legend Continues 5/5

My spoiler free thoughts on Season 2, as well as my own personal tier list. I originally played Season 1 for the memes and I enjoyed all of  the pretend outrage in the review section from people who never played the game, it had me in stitches. However the last laugh was on me, because I ended up really enjoying Season 1 a lot. Season 2 picks up right where Season 1 left off. So if you enjoyed the cast of characters, storylines, and humor from Season 1, then it’s safe to say you’ll like Season 2 as well.
