I am fairly new to the Left 4 Dead series which has been a very well loved series for ages now. The game is still worth checking out despite its age, and the community is still very strong. These games go on deep discount often if you are curious about them, and if you are only going to play one of them, L4D2 includes the L4D1 campaigns in the game, so you’d be better off just getting L4D2.
You play as part of a team of 4 (Human or CPU teammates) fighting your way from safe house to safe house while encountering hordes of the infected (zombies). You will face 10 different types of enemies who will each attack you differently, as well as the common infected (basic zombies) attacking in a giant mob at times. So you will have to be prepared on how to handle each enemy type very quickly, since this is a very fast paced game.
The multiplayer comes with a lot of different modes, like campaign, versus, survival, ect. In my short time with the game I’ve found some pretty fun and nice players, as well as some cry babies and jack wagons, as to be expected in any online multiplayer experience.
If you are playing with a controller and want to customize your controls, you will need to follow the steps listed in the QUALITY OF LIFE IMPROVEMENTS below, since LFD2 doesn’t save your controller settings for some reason, at least not as of April 2023.
I found that equipping the “XBOX HUD Without The “Y” Icon Mod,” and making the Back/View used to enable voice chat to be a good start. With using “TAB” to start text chat, “y” to vote yes, and “n” to vote no, for the keyboard features. Adjust accordingly to your personal preferences.
It’s a cool game, I already knew and loved Bill from Dead By Daylight, and I like Zoey because she looks very similar to Meg from Dead By Daylight. I also found myself liking Coach because he has a hunger for candy bars. Would recommend.

Open each of these files with Notepad, select all text, delete all text, and then save. DO NOT actually delete the file itself.
